Back in the saddle again...

Back in the saddle again...

CYA friends:

Been a long old winter, and way too cold to work in the shop......

But yesterday it was sunny and 50 degrees.....

So by gosh I decided to do something on my new MD-PAS triple pistol build...

I did not turn the furnace on, so I couldn't stay long, but, the sun shining on the old shop kept it doable, for about an hour....

Man it felt good to get back in the saddle....

Your friend, Bill Calfee

A couple of points:

I put four of the six set screws below the center line of the recoil lug, which is where the most rearward thrust will be on the lug...

Since this is a 22, and since I'm using the factory XP bedding system on the front bedding screw, there's not a whole lot of recoil to have to deal with...

Although, a rimfire needs a recoil lug just like a centerfire.

I did a doodle of the spacer I'm machining a while back, in which I show using three set screws to affix the recoil lug to the front of the spacer..

But, since the recoil lug actually performs the function of a recoil lug for the pistol, I felt I needed to double the number of set screws.

Oh, and something else.....

My recoil lug will now be adjustable, so I can align it perfectly for the trigger linkage to pass through.
