CYA friends:

About 10 years ago I built a RFBR rifle for a gentleman up east.....

General Lee was the name of the rifle.

This gentleman, up east, did not do a lot of playing on the Big National scene......

Although, he did quite well with General Lee at the matches in his locality.

Fast forward to today.

I've often wondered what General Lee could do today, in the hands of a Big National player, like for instance, Fred Sears.

Interesting memories....

Interesting memories....

General Lee

On his original Falcon action, Leonard Baity used cased locking lugs.....

Of course like any cased material, they couldn't be properly blueprinted.

So I got Leonard, and Johnathan, to produce their lugs from 4140.......

And heat treated in such a way that they could be properly blueprinted.

General Lee was the first Falcon to use the new 4140 lugs..

By the way, that thing with its Shilen ratchet tested double bad.

Falcons have the absolute finest SAP ignition available......

I've known that since the first Falcon I ever worked on.

A well blueprinted Falcon will kick out 10 round case head penetration numbers closer to MD-PAS ignition, than any other SAP ignition system.

CYA friends, I've never cared for the cosmetic appearance of bolt handles where the knob looks like a megaphone.

I love the classic "teardrop" shape for the bolt handle knob.

So On General Lee I took a standard Falcon handle and re-shaped it into the beautiful teardrop configuration.
