CYA friends:

When we attend a RFBR event we all know the rules of whatever discipline is sanctioning the event, and we accept them.

Here's what 10-SHOT does for the sport of RFBR.

It gives full credit for the competitors accuracy accomplishment.

Below are two ARA 500 rows.

10-SHOT simply gives credit for the better accuracy of row B....

As the competitor who produced row B deserves.

PS:

CYA friends, I don't advocate changing the way ARA, the PSL or regular IR-50 is scored, or configured.

Not everyone is going to like 10-SHOT, so there needs to be a place for those folks to participate....bc

Scored as 10-SHOT

CYA friends:

I am not advocating changing ARA, the PSL or IR-50 in any way........scoring, format or anything.

What I am doing, is explaining why I like the idea of 10-SHOT as I do.

The BR-50/ARA target has been used for almost 30 years...

For years it was a tremendous challenge, for the accuracy level of those years.

But, we've advanced rimfire accuracy so much, that today two competitors can shoot the same score, yet one of the competitors may have produced much more accuracy than the other......

Yet they leave the event as equals............accuracy wise.

Here's why I am so cited by 10-SHOT.

These two rows scored ARA, are both 500.

The picture shows how they're scored 10-SHOT.

The competitor who shot row B was simply more accurate than the competitor who shot row A..

And 10-SHOT recognizes the more accurate competitor..........as that competitor should be.

PS: These rows represent the difference between a "pretty" 2300 and an "ugly" 2300.......

But in ARA you don't get credit for the beauty, in 10-SHOT you do.

Bill,

I agree 100% with what you've said, BUT I'm throwing a CURVE, or some CURVE'S. There is no doubt that row B is better than row A.

1. We shoot 25 Bulls not 5! (we cant mis-diagnosis)
2. I'm gonna guess that 99.9% of the REGISTERED "Competition" ARA targets shot are hung sideways not up and down. So if these two rows were taken from the same target? wouldn't the total score be a "52".

I picked these two rows from a target for demonstration purposes only....

Here's the first picture I did.....which demonstrates the same thing...with the target sideways as shot.

But this picture was grainy and I couldn't enlarge it......and the picture is also at an angle..which made the rows at an angle.

So I used another picture...

By the way, both of these pictures were taken from ARA certified 2500 targets.

Ole Hawk, not everyone is going to like 10-SHOT......

But it's for sure you CYankees like it, since you guys have won the three major events so far.

Actually, no one has been close to you CYankees at these three events.

10-SHOT may not be a success.

Do you CYankees love it.......oh yes......it's human nature to love something you dominate like you guys do 10-SHOT.

But, a lot of folks are simply going to be intimidated by 10-SHOT.
